How it works
Order your bin online (or contact us if you already have one), then on delivery of your bin you will receive a Direct Debit invite email to chose what service you need, after setting up your Direct Debit you get your collection day and the service begins then simply leave your bin out on the roadside by 8AM on collection day.
Our garden wheelie bin service is great if you’re a keen gardener, go through a lot of garden waste, or just like to keep on top of things & don’t fancy a trip to the tip. Whatever the reason, we come on an allotted day so you can keep your garden looking great all year round.
Waste that we collect include things like grass cuttings, leaves and cuttings, weeds and ‘deadheaded’ material from plants, unwanted compost, mulch and loam, prunings and cuttings, bark, twigs and smaller branches. We can’t accept food and animal waste and anything non compostable like pots.
What happens to the waste?
All of the waste we collect will be processed at a local commercial Waste Transfer Station.
As a registered licensed waste carrier you can be safe in the knowledge that all your garden waste will be responsibly cared for and recycled, eventually breaking down over the year into rich compost that gets used around the farmers fields in the bay
Please note – as everything gets chipped and composted we are unable to take things like rocks, plastic and ceramic pots, plastic bags, garden gnomes (no matter how amusing) etc.
Had to call on GWA after our South Hams Council decided to stop collecting garden waste wheelie bins with no notice. The boss Simon responded to my message immediately and true to his word he was around on the Friday afternoon to empty our bin with no fuss and no mess, plus a friendly word or two as well! Highly recommended and we will most certainly be using his services again.
